Review: This generic detergent makes my clothes smell a half a fragrance better than pool water with a few potpourri shop overstock items thrown in. Considering I am a male, I rate this as pretty damn good. It’s nice to know I’ll smell like a swimming pool for a few minutes before the dog days we’ve been having start my sweat glands. My clothes don’t stink and look clean. This stuff isn’t great, but it works.
I’ve been noticing a small trend in detergent aisles at the store. “Small,” referring to the size of the bottles they’ve been placing on the most prominent shelves. My observations tell me that the hip new thing in laundry is super ultra triple power detergent so you need to use less liquid in your loads. Myself? I like to save on plastic and the amount of detergent used. You know how? By buying the extra large, less expensive jugs of detergent and ignoring the lines in the easy-pour cap. Try it sometime. Your clothes don’t need to be chemically doused, only lightly caressed (and other commercial terminology that will seep into your subconscious). Use less and buy detergent less. It may not be the greenest policy, but it works for me and saves me a bit of green in the long run.
