Thank You Woot.com!
I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank the fine people at woot.com for giving me a free ad on their site yesterday. I woke up this morning with almost 10 50 times the number of hits on Consumatron than usual and an inbox full of comments.
If you don’t know about woot.com, you should. They are a unique online store that scours the internet/wholesale market/backs of trucks/grandmother’s attic to find great deals on great things. Monday thru Friday at midnight, woot.com is updated with a brand new item that you can purchase at a crazy low price.
One item per day. You can buy to your hearts content until 11:59 PM or until they sell out of the advertised item. Past items range from coffee makers to computers.
And that’s not all!
Woot.com also has a daily podcast which runs about 2-3 minutes where they introduce the item and sing a catchy/goofy song in the vein of They Might Be Giants or perform a skit about an item. The podcasts always make me laugh and I usually listen to them more than once. I wonder if anyone else does that?
I’ve been addicted to woot.com for quite some time now and I’m thrilled that they found my site interesting enough to link to. Thanks again woot!
