Review: I sweat a lot, so usually I use an antiperspirant like Old Spice. Lately, antiperspirant has been acting like an anti-antiperspirant on me though, so I thought I’d try something new. Maybe I have been overloading my sweat glands with protection in the way that someone who avoids germs at all costs is more susceptible to being affected by them. Maybe I am mildly allergic to something in the Old Spice. Maybe my body was just telling me that it needed a change. Whatever the reason, I decided to try a simple deodorant instead of some complex antiperspirant.

Like some of you, I can be a sucker for things that say “All Natural” on them. Of course, if you think about it, human beings are natural animals of this earth and, therefore, anything we do (including messing with the genetic or atomic structure of natural products of the earth) is also natural. In a broad sense, everything is natural. I have been happy with products from Tom’s of Maine in the past, though, and their products tend to be a bit more simple in the ingredients department than other cosmetics or toiletries.

Upon using this stick of all-natural gel, I actually did sweat less! I only have two problems with it. First, this stick is a bit small for the price it costs. Second (and most importantly), even though the package states that this deodorant is unscented, I can smell a sharp floral smell tinted with coriander. That’s not a bad thing, it is just misdirection.

Misdirection is exactly what this bar of underarm salve does to my constant summer activity of perspiring.
