Review: I can’t express adequately how great of an idea I think vegetarian sliders are. Not only are they a healthy way to snack, but a great way to introduce meaties to the world of veggie delights. Small bites, I find, are eagerly gobbled up by all walks of hungry people, regardless of red-blooded meat-eating purity. Perhaps this could be the meatless burger that changes your hunter friends’ minds about veggie fare!
Then again, perhaps not.
I’ve tasted miraculous things made from ground up mushrooms and brown rice. This, however, was not one of them. Instead, the highlight of this slider was the tasty little wheat bun it was delivered on. The burger itself was mushy, unattractive and devoid of any discernible taste to speak of.
At least the “spicy mayo” saved the day, right?
Wrong! Though the dollop of mayonnaise had what passes for the color of spice, it tasted like your run of the mill white mayo.
Oh well! At least the side of vinegar pickles that came with the slider were tasty.
I love vegetarian food and want to love Mana. I really do. Alas, this isn’t looking so hot for our new neighborhood veggie joint!
