Review: No, not the kind of dishwasher that you throw your dishes into and press the button on. Automatic dishwashers are one of those inventions of modern convenience that I find ridiculous and find it hard to understand why they are considered luxury items by people in their 20’s. Nine times out of ten, you have to rinse your dishes and wipe off the bigger chunks of food before placing them inside of the actual dishwasher. If you skip this step, chances are you will waste a ton of water and come up with extremely hot, but not quite clean dishes. No, for my money, I’ll take one of those clear plastic sticks that you put dish soap in and pop these replaceable sponge heads on any day. Sure, it takes a bit of elbow grease, but I bet I could clean a load of dishes faster than any machine. I’m like the clean kitchen John Henry. While you’re rinsing, I’ll be scrubbing and when you’re loading your growth-stunted car wash, I’ll be drying. Yes, these heads sometimes fall off prematurely and can easily be shredded if you aren’t careful washing knives, but once one gets used to the techniques involved in great dish washing, this old-fashioned convenience beats your sorry excuse for a Chinese water torture box any day.

My only complaint about the Quickie brand dishwasher refills is that they do not have a scrubbing pad on them like some other brands do. Luckily, I have a stock of Scotch-Brite pads to aid with the tough pan burn-ins and dried spaghettio pieces.

P.S. Turns out after using these for a while, the sponge comes away from the harness too easily. Reducing my rating severely!
