Review: Overly waxy and somewhat flavorless, but it sure does look good reflected in a toaster, eh?

Dominick’s on Ashland is really hit or miss when it comes to “fresh” produce. There are times when the tomato stand smells like a morgue that lost all power to its air conditioning unit, while other times everything is just peachy… including the peaches.

I suppose this is one of the dangers of living in Bridgeport. Everyone in the neighborhood seems to have a car and the most decent grocery store in a two mile radius is in Chinatown… which is on my way home from work… why don’t I stop there for fruits and veggies?

It’s sad that this was the best pepper Dominick’s had to offer. It’s also sad that my consumer laziness is to blame for overpriced and substandard peppers, tomatoes and greens. This negative review is all on myself… and the pepper… well, mostly the pepper. The only thing that saved this somewhat soft pepper is the fact that I chopped it up and cooked it with other satisfactory vegetables.
