Review: Another day of the grind, another cheap deli sandwich from 7-Eleven.

According to the sticker on this sandwich, it was made last night. Since the store had no sandwiches at all yesterday, this is probably the honest-to-god truth.

Of all of the monstrous 7-Eleven creations that have crossed my palette, this sandwich is my favorite. The turkey is always lean and plentiful. The lettuce is crisp most of the time. The cheese isn’t stale and the Southwest Mayonnaise resembles a mildly flavored thousand island dressing with a minor bite to it. All of this, topped off with two robust slices of wheat bread (the real deal…not the spongy white bread that has been dyed brown) makes this sandwich seem as if it isn’t such a last-resort lunch.

Even though it usually is.

its funny you should mention last resort lunch.
I bought this sandwich as a last resort, but now I’m
hooked and I have to admit I buy one every other day now. the southwest mayonnaise is superb its pre-packaged fresh and its cheap. What else can you ask for in a small lunch.
