Review: The goal was to keep my costs down for this week of work, so iinstead of buying a paper-cupped coffee from Caribou every day, I brought my grinder, my coffee beans and my mug from home on Monday. By Friday, I received a promotion and a change of location at my job and had to take all of these things back home with me. Funny how these things work out.
This basic of all white sugars is gristly, white and sweet. Nothing special about it at all. Let’s focus on the packaging instead, shall we? Domino has been in business boxing sugar for 100 years and, in all of that time, it seems as if they have never hired an art director. The packaging is simple and reminiscent of a time when a trip to the grocery store resulted in a cart full of one or two syllable products.
Stranger, still, is the disgustingly saccharine and slightly disturbing tagline under the company logo. “We’ll always be your sugar.” Sugar is one of the most widely abused drugs in America, but now it’s obsessive? Sheesh.
Back to why I bought this though… We didn’t have any sugar I felt comfortable using at work and this was pretty much all that was available in the area. At 7-Eleven prices, this box of sweet was well worth it and will be serving it’s purpose long after I am gone (I left the sugar at my old office).

Aw, you’ll always be my sugar
You saw that coming.
We both have to learn to drink it black, no sugar. If we’re going to drink the adult beverage, we may as well not get the sugar… and the lbs.
I say this while pondering a vat of java that is send-me-back-to-the-dentist sweet.
Congrats on the promo!!! Video your new office for us!

Congratulations, Kevin! It’s a good gig and couldn’t happen to a more deserving bookseller.
