Review: What’s heavier? A pound of pre-marinated tuna steak from Trader Joe’s or a pound of tuna steak from any other grocery store?
Give up, it’s the pound of tuna steak from elsewhere because you are sure to pay more.
For those of you who have the time and money to be particular about your weekday seafood meals, I see you turning up your nose at these frozen bricks of well-marinated tunafish. To you, I say go ahead and buy your fresh, unfrozen mercury steaks for triple the price (just be sure to invite me over for dinner when you do).
I can’t say these frozen steaks are as good as fresh, but they come pretty damn close. Pre-marinated and frozen in a mixture of lemon, oil, butter, salt, pepper and herbs, these tuna steaks are perfect for sitting down to after a long day of hard (or moderate) work. Just pop ‘em in the fridge in the morning, head off to the coal cubicles, and when you get home, they will be tender enough to pan fry or grill to your liking. The best part about the marinade included with these thrifty fish filets, is that it is not too pronounced or overbearing. What results is a subtle lemon and butter flavor that is enjoyable on its own, or quite capable of serving as a base for your specific spice-adding tastes.
Yum.

I am in complete agreement with your review here. I have yet to find a better tasting, easier to prepare, more convenient, and cheaper priced fish anywhere. Highly recommended.
