Review: I could’ve used this masher a while ago when I had a bunch of Potatoes in my kitchen. Instead, I purchased this masher along with a bunch of lemons to do something I’ve never done before… Make lemonade from scratch.
To be honest, I would have preferred an all-metal potato masher instead of this plastic and nylon thing, but in this sweltering humidity and sweat-filled walk to the grocery store, I wasn’t going to be picky. I also wasn’t going to walk to the next cooking supply store. Long story short, my utensils at home are flimsy and weak and I wanted to make a lazy Sunday refreshment that actually tasted a bit like it’s name implies instead of like sugary sour powder.
The heat resistant nylon masher worked great and was much sturdier than I had originally thought it would be. I’m sure a stainless steel masher would have been cheaper and easier to maneuver, but I’m also sure this masher will get plenty of use as long as the heat keeps up… and then more use when I get a bag of potatoes.
