Review: Trader Joe’s bottled water is priced right and follows suit of most other bottled water brands. Though the name would lead you to believe that this water was actually bottled from a mountain spring, there is a note on the label that also says “bottled at the source.” Read on and the label goes on to say that the “source” is a place called Benton, Texas. From the intensive research I did on Wikipedia and other web sites (snicker), I couldn’t find any mountains or springs located in Benton Texas.
That enough filler for this review? It’s water. It’s affordable. It comes in a plastic bottle that I will reuse several times so as not to waste plastic.

That’s what I always thought (re-use the plastic bottles) NOT a good idea, they say. Germs, germs, germs and if plastic gets hot it REALLY isn’t good to drink that water…….I now THROW out the plastic after drinking the original water and buy new—-they’re cheap enough to buy another and another!!!!

If you have issues with plastic, go ceramic and keep an eye out for water fountains/public sinks.

Trader Joe’s rebottles Crystal Geyser Spring Water… hence why the bottle says CG Roxane on it.
Look it up. Not sure where you’re getting the Texas address from.

Benton, Tenn not Texas. Yes their is a spring, yes there are mountains, backs up to national forest.
CG Roxane packs water for Trader Joes.

Yes, your info is wrong as corrected above this water is the same as Crystal Geyser Spring Water, bottled at the source. I researched it a long time ago along with others and found this one to be the best there is. Kirkland water, (aka Costco) is not recommended. It is bottled from their office alongside a major freeway in Irvine, So. Cal.. It’s just blocks from an old army base. The city of Irvine had problems with cleaning solvents from the base leaching into their city water, so I am sure this source is even worse.

“Bottled at the CG Roxane source, in Olancha, CA ”
The CG Roxane plant is located in the Eastern Sierra along Highway 395. I believe “CG” stands for Crystal Geyser that was sold at Trader Joes. But now TJ has their own label on the bottles.

I am trying to find out about Trader Joe’s eletrolyte enchanced water. I would like to know how the plastic was made. Is Trader Joe’s a memeber of IBWA? I am having a problem with acid in my body, trying to get my ph up. It is in the acidic zone. I need to make sure that the water is alkaline and the plastic is safe. By the way, the taste is indeed great. Also, how come you don’t sell Penta water? That is a very pure alkaline water. Thanks
