Review: I have a strong aversion to any “fresh” produce that has been hermetically sealed in saran wrap, but Dominick’s didn’t seem to have any healthy husks. All in all, this corn wasn’t bad at all. I didn’t grill or boil or pressure cook (my fave) it to eat straight from the cob though. Instead, I cut the kernels off for use in a rustic and filling soup. Despite simmering for nearly an hour and a half in the creamy broth I concocted, the corn was still crisp and flavorful. The broth benefited from the corn’s flavor and vice versa.

I’ll still take a husk-covered, grill-scorched cob over this perfectly acceptable alternative any day. Not too bad, for the only choice available though.
