Review: Another great purchase from my new favorite neighborhood coffee shop! These small glossy buns may not look like much under the sterile light of the heat lamp, but this is the perfect breakfast snack for the busy person on the run… to the train…

Of course, it only helps that Coffee Pot is nestled conveniently between my apartment and the train.

Regardless, for little more than a dollar, this beats any donut you may be tempted to get at the local dunkin’ dough shop. Encapsulated inside the outer bun sits a modest slice of ham and layer of scrambled egg. The ham is a bit fatty, but not intolerable. The egg is nothing that you haven’t tasted on a breakfast sandwich before. The bun, however, is surprisingly fresh and fluffy with just a pinch of sweetness to keep your mouth watering and your morning sugar levels at adequate.

I believe it is a universal law of thermodynamics or some such other science that breakfast sandwiches can never be fully healthy, but this one breaks at least a few laws by being tasty and affordable.
