Review: When I buy cow juice, I would prefer to buy as local and as organic as possible. The one problem with that is that the local and organic cow juice producers don’t offer anything smaller than a a half gallon (if that). I’m not a big drinker of milk. I use it in coffee, in cereal (which I rarely buy) and in recipes, so when I needed a bit of whole milk for a cake (the best red velvet cake that three of my friends have tried, mind you), I admit it… I went for the quick and convenient choice. Oddly enough, that lazy choice also happens to be the least wasteful choice since I did not let this jug o’ milk go bad and my refrigerator still smells go…. well… not good, exactly… but it doesn’t smell like sour milk, nonetheless.

The milk itself, tasted like all of the milk I grew up drinking. Less creamy than is ideal and a bit chalky. All things considered, this isn’t a bad addition to something, but I’d hate to drink an entire glass of it by itself.

And no, cookies aren’t enough.
