Review: Farmer’s markets aren’t just about dirt-covered freshly pulled vegetables, but also farmer’s concoctions made from freshly pulled and harvested plants. Take this bread for example. Soft to the touch, probably baked the night before, with a crisp and chewy drizzle of cheese atop them, these bread rolls were the perfect side to breakfast this morning. Good for sandwiches or the spread of your choice, the breads sold by the vendor at the weekly Wicker Park farmer’s market are always a great bet. Though there are several bakeries in the area that may churn out tastier product, I like to show my support to the farmers and food artisans that make the effort to bring their local edible wares into the city each week.
